Dynamic Environment Manager – Upgrade to v. 2503

Release date: May 27th 2025

Welcome to my Omnissa Dynamic Environment Manager series. The new version of DEM, v.2503 Build 10.15.0.2268, was GA on April 15th 2025. In this section I will describe how I upgraded my DEM Set Up to v. 2503. But first, at what point in an upgrade procedure should we upgrade the Dynamic Environment Manager Components? According to Omnissa’s official documentation, this should be done as shown below.

To check out all the new features and changes with Dynamic Environment Manager v. 2503, review the Release Notes from Omnissa posted here: Dynamic Environment Manager Release Notes

According to the release notes, this release updates the main product components and Helpdesk Support Tool. Application Profiler and SyncTool are not updated.

What’s New

  • Support for asynchronous startup tasks. Omnissa Dynamic Environment Manager now supports asynchronous startup tasks, significantly reducing system boot time and provides efficient environment management at computer startup. Administrators can configure tasks to run independently using FlexService, ensuring tasks continue to execute even after FlexEngine.exe exits.
  • Help. To facilitate the search for Help, the Helpdesk Support Tool now has an Admin guide link. Clicking the Admin Guide button will take you to the product’s administrative manual.
  • Extended Service Branch for Horizon. Dynamic Environment Manager 2503 is an Extended Service Branch (ESB) release. See Knowledge Base (KB) article 86477.

Upgrade procedure:

  1. Agent
  2. Manager
  3. GPO Templates
