Welcome to my VMware Dynamic Environment Manager series. In this session I will describe how I upgraded the VMware DEM Application Profiler to v. 2206. As I use my Application Capture VM for this, I make sure to do this upgrade together with the App Volumes Agent. Before I start the upgrade, I verify the installed version in Control Panel.
I start out by downloading the installation media from VMware Customer Connect
I extract the zip-file and launch the Application Profiler executable file.
The DEM Application Profiler Installation Wizard launches, Next…
I accept the license terms, Next…
No customization needed, Next…
Everything is ready, Upgrade…
When the installation is done, Finish…
Finally, I verify the newly installed version in Control Panel
I complete this task by shutting down the VM and take a Snapshot. With this done the upgrade of the DEM components in my LAB is done.
