VMware Horizon offers a number of possible features to offload workload on ESXi servers hosting the Horizon desktops. This could be processing of videos from YouTube or Multi Media redirection directly from the VMware Horizon Desktop to the client. Either way, offloading unnecessary workload to the client can, in some environments, be very helpful and also provide enhanced user experience. Below I will walk through the configuration of these different configurations. Most of the them are done by configuring GPO settings, so administrative access to MS Active Directory is a prerequisite.
