During my preparations, I downloaded the App Volumes iso-file. I open Windows explorer and browse to the download-location
When unpacked the iso contains the following folders
I start the installation by running setup.exe from the Installation-folder
The installation wizard opens
I accept the terms, Next
I select App Volumes Manager, Install
I select «Connect to an existing SQL Server Database», as I created a database during my preparations, Next
I fill in my database-information, Next
In this lab I will be using HTTPS, Next
Default destination folder is a good a location as any, Next…
After the installation finishes, I make sure to open for HTTPS port 443 in my Windows firewall. My next step will be to configure App Volumes, covered here: VMware App Volumes – Configure
