Welcome to my VMware Horizon series. In this session I will describe how to create an RDS Desktop Pool for an existing RDS-server located in the manual RDS Farm I created in my previous session.
Log into Horizon View Administrator, from the menu on the left, click Desktop Pools
Click Add… from the top menu
Choose RDS Desktop Pool, Next
Give the new pool an ID and Displayname, Next
Set Desktop Pool Settings, Next
I select the Manual RDS Farm i created earlier, Next
I tick «Entitle Users….», Finish
I click Add…
I search and select my testuser-group “View_Users”, OK
Close
My new manual RDS pool,ManualRDPool, is now created and accessible for the users in the group View_Users
Once the RDS Desktop Pool is created, I proceed with testing this, posted here: VMware Horizon – Add existing RDS server to Horizon
