VMware Horizon – Install Agent in existing RDS-server

Welcome to my VMware Horizon series. In this session I will describe how to install the Horizon Agent in an existing RDS-server and connect this to the connection server.

The RDS-Server must have an ip-address and be joined to domain. The computer-account must be located in the correct OU with corresponding GPO’s. I log in on the RDS-server and run the Horizon Agent installer

I accept the terms…..Next

I select IPv4, Next

I de-select VMware Horizon View Composer and Instant Clone from features to be installed

Enter the FQDN of the connection-server, leave Authentication as-is

The default installation-path is OK, Install

When the installer is finished, click Finish

Yes to restart
