Release date: March 14th 2019
Welcome to my VMware Horizon series. In this session I will describe how to install the Horizon Agent in an existing RDS-server and connect this to the connection server.
The RDS-Server must have an ip-address and be joined to domain. The computer-account must be located in the correct OU with corresponding GPO’s. I log in on the RDS-server and run the Horizon Agent installer
I accept the terms…..Next
I select IPv4, Next
I de-select VMware Horizon View Composer and Instant Clone from features to be installed
Enter the FQDN of the connection-server, leave Authentication as-is
The default installation-path is OK, Install
When the installer is finished, click Finish
Yes to restart
Once the RDS-server is restarted, I proceed with setting up a manual RDS Farm, posted here: VMware Horizon – Create Manual RDS Farm for existing RDS-server
