VMware DEM – Upgrade Agent to v. 9.11

Welcome to my VMware Dynamic Environment Manager series. In this session I will describe how I upgraded the VMware DEM Agent to v. 9.11.

First, I power up the template and open Remote Console. I copy the VMware-DEM-9.11-GA.zip file I downloaded from MyVmware to a temp-folder inside the template

I start the upgrade by clicking the VMware Dynamic Environment Manager 9.11 x64.msi file

When the VMware Dynamic Environment Manager Setup Wizard launches, Next…

Select the VMware DEM FlexEngine feature, Next…

Once the installer finishes, click Finish…

Finally, I make sure to upgrade DEM in my DEM Application Profiling VM, if this is needed. The Release Notes for v. 9.11 says that this is not necessary for this release.
