VMware vRealize Operations Manager – Configure

Release date: November 21st 2018

Welcome to my vRealize Operations Manager series, how I setup “vRops” in my LAB. In this session I will describe how I did the configuration-phase.

After deploying the appliance I power it up.

After it is powered up we come to the console

Everything looks good, so I proceed to the URL specified on the console-screen above. When I connect here the “vRealize Operations Manager Initial Setup” starts automatically. In my setup I will use Express Installation.

I save the settings and close. As for now I’m going to leave it alone to collect data for a couple of weeks. By then I will have a representative set of data to evaluate my vSphere setup.
