Release date: November 21st 2018
Welcome to my vRealize Operations Manager series, how I setup “vRops” in my LAB. In this session I will describe how I did the planning-phase.VMware has made an excellent documentation about how to install/configure VMware vRealize Operations Manager here:
vRealize Operations Manager vApp Deployment Guide
Using this great guide, I made my plans based on these questions:
- IP-address, subnet, gateway, dns-servers?
- FQDN for my virtual machine?
- Virtual Machine name?
- Virtual Machine Folder?
- Compute source?
- Configuration size?
- Virtual Machine Disk format?
- Destination Network?
- vCenter Username and Role assignment?
When all these questions were answered and documented, I could proceed with preparations for my VMware vRealize Operations Manager Install, posted here: VMware vRealize Operations Manager Prepare
