VMware vRealize Operations Manager – Upgrade to v.6.7

Welcome to my vRealize Operations Manager series, how I setup “vRops” in my LAB. In this session I will describe how upgraded my installation with an important patch from VMware.

The first thing I need to do in download the security patch from My VMware Downloads

Next I log into the Admin-Gui on my vRops Manager

Prior to applying the patch I will need to take my cluster offline

Once the cluster is offline I can apply the Software Update

I browse to the location where I download the patch and select it:

I proceed with uploading the PAK

Once the patch is uploaded and validated, I proceed and click Next

I accept the License Agreement

Finally I click Install

I can view the progress under “Software Update”

After the patch is applied, the cluster will be brought online by the installer.
