Release date: February 20th 2019
Welcome to my vRealize Operations Manager series, how I setup “vRops” in my LAB. In this session I will describe how upgraded my installation with an important patch from VMware.
The first thing I need to do in download the security patch from My VMware Downloads
Next I log into the Admin-Gui on my vRops Manager
Prior to applying the patch I will need to take my cluster offline
Once the cluster is offline I can apply the Software Update
I browse to the location where I download the patch and select it:
I proceed with uploading the PAK
Once the patch is uploaded and validated, I proceed and click Next
I accept the License Agreement
Finally I click Install
I can view the progress under “Software Update”
After the patch is applied, the cluster will be brought online by the installer.
In my next post, I will cover setting up the integration with VMware Horizon View here: VMware vRealize Operations Manager – Integration with VMware Horizon View
