VMware True SSO

Release date: December 13th 2020

Welcome to my VMware True SSO (single sign-on) section. In this section I will describe how I set up VMware True SSO in my Lab environment. As many of my other set ups, this was triggered by a question from one of my customers. As I haven’t done this before, I decided to do this in my Lab up front. There are several great use-cases for True SSO, but the most used is probably in conjunction with Workspace One Access and/or Unified Access Gateway. When True SSO is enabled, users who authenticate with WS One Access using other authentication mechanism than MS Active Directory, for instance Smart Cards with certificates, can log in to their VMware Horizon Desktop without re-authenticating with their AD credentials.
