VMware App Volumes 4.0 – Testing logon time

VMware App Volumes 4.0 was finally released on 14 January 2020. Previously I have been running App Volumes on 2.xx and greatly anticipated this release with the new approach towards Applications instead of Appstacks. How would this perform when it came to logon time and scalability.

I therefore went about and did a quite comprehensive test of this in my lab. I have posted my findings here:

I also, for the fun of it, tested App Volumes 4 with multiple SCSI controllers to stress test the environment with 20 applications connected to one virtual desktop. Check out the results…
